Faithful
Out of all of God’s attributes, I think one of the hardest for me to understand is His faithfulness. I don’t understand how He can remain so faithful when His people are so unfaithful. When I read throughout the history of Israel in the Bible I see an astonishing pattern of unfaithfulness. Though God provided all of their needs at every corner, they would turn from Him and pursue other gods. The same thing is happening in the church today. We are so often unfaithful to our wonderful God! Even now as I write these things, I’m sure that this very day I will fail to live like He has called me to. I know that it breaks His heart when we are disobedient. He has called us to live holy lives and it is time that we strive to do so! We may mess up, and we may fall short. But once again, God is faithful to forgive us and lead us in the right way. Today, I worship you, Lord, for your unparalleled, unintelligible, unending faithfulness!
